An alumni of the University of Northern Colorado, she proudly participated in the Pride of the Rockies Marching Band for 5 years. While in Optometry School, Her favorite memories were those with AMIGOs eyecare, a student chapter of VOSH which provides free eye care throughout the world. She had the opportunity to provide care to rural areas of Guatemala on two separate occasions, and hopes to go on more trips to Guatemala as an attending doctor in the future.
Dr. Lundien is passionate about providing high quality care for patients of all ages and tries to take a holistic approach to how she practices. Eyes are truly the window to your soul, and the more she knows about your complete health and visual needs, the better she can care for your overall well-being. She is especially interested in caring for children and knows that many learning problems children face can be related to their eyes, and a referral to a vision therapist may be the answer to their learning related difficulties.
Dr. Lundien’s dedication to children’s learning is apparent in her involvement in the community outside of the office. She has participated in Von’s Vision, a charity developed by Von Miller of the Denver Broncos to help provide eye care to children in need. She dedicates some of her time as a mentor for the Denver Urban Scholars organization, and has been a counselor, and an administrator for the Summer Enrichment Program, a summer camp aimed at providing support and opportunity for gifted and talented youth. She is currently working on a project through the Colorado Optometric Association’s leadership program to bring awareness to the community of the importance of children’s eye exams.
When Dr. Lundien is not caring for her patients, she spends time hiking, bike riding, cooking, cheering on the Broncos, and exploring wine regions all over the country and world.
